Can I just shuffle all the cards together?
I designed it to be a process that leads you from intuitive insight, to mindset, to action. That is why the cards are designed to be kept separate, but you can use this product how you see fit. If you prefer to use it more like a traditional oracle deck, go for it! The best way I can see this working is to let the cards help you see where you need to focus or what you need to shift.
I’m always open to hearing how you use the products I make, so that I can make them better in the future.
How can I settle my mind and know that it is my intuition?
One of my favorite tricks is to drop down into my heart center and try to “see” from there. Try it out…
Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, notice what your mind is doing and how it is making you feel. If you feel tense and like you are grasping you are NOT receiving from intuition. This is a subtle shift, the more you practice the better you can sense a difference.
First try to see yourself on a swing as though you can see it with your eyes. Next try to see yourself on a swing as thought you are focusing the vision in the center of your head. Now, let go of focusing, breath for a bit, and feel where your heart center lives in your body. Let a vision appear as you keep your focus on your heart.
Feel the difference with each one and you decide which feels best for you. You might try moving your focus around whenever you catch yourself striving or trying to grasp at imagery.
I don’t see anything in my visualization, what am I doing wrong?
You aren’t doing anything “wrong”. They are called visualizations because it is meant to open up your creative “inner eye” but that doesn’t mean you will actually see anything. Sometimes you will and sometimes it will feel more like a knowing, or it will sound like a phrase that pops in your head. Intuition doesn’t work the same for everyone. This is a process of learning how your intuition communicates with you. You just have to be aware that it is like a puzzle that you have to piece together.
When I struggle with visualizations, I allow myself to notice one thing. Once I see or sense one thing then I ask what else can I see that goes with it. I take the bits and pieces of what I get and use my logical mind to add meaning or get an idea of how they might be a message. For example, you might see a light (or think about a light) then you follow that by looking, asking or trying to sense what is the light showing or shining on. You pay attention to what the light feels like, is it kind, inviting, or intense? These are all small pieces that you are following, one thing at a time. While I am looking for the next bit of information in the visualization, my mind is connecting the light to a feeling, to a phrase or a word, and then to the next thing I think or sense or see. This is how a visualization is formed into a whole message for me.
This feels like you are just making things up or being creative, but this is how intuition will feel as you begin. It can feel like a mess of thoughts that you are just randomly thinking. Focus on starting with seeing or sensing one thing. That could be just the place that you envision yourself being. Train your mind to allow things to pop in slowly so you can follow one thing at a time. As you sense more you can apply meaning. For me, it rarely is a full scene or message that feels as though someone or something else is showing it to me from outside myself. However, as I practiced it has become more and more like that.
If you feel as though you get nothing. Ask for a gift or a symbol. Notice what thought or image pops in and then apply your ideas of what that could mean for you. For example, you ask for a gift and you see a necklace. Then thinking about how that could help with your intention of needing support or hope you decide that picturing a necklace (or even wearing a specific one) as a reminder that you have unseen help.
